Use a Password Manager

Why? Because most agents are just writing down all of their passwords on a sheet of paper, which isn’t secure at all, or WORSE – typing them all out on a Word document sitting on their hard drive!

“Just say no” to manually tracking your passwords!

Have different passwords for sure! That way if they hack into one, they can’t use the same password to hack into the other!

Use Password phrases, using the first letter of each word to create a password

Optional – sites like LastPass.com let you also use a Yubikey – it’s a USB drive that you must plug in to whatever computer you are going to use LastPass on – this way, even if someone hacked your LastPass password, they would have to also steal your physical usb drive – very unlikely!

Great for teams because you don't need to put anyone on "floor time" to directly answer all sign calls, etc. Just have the operators at AnswerConnect answer the initial call, and they will answer it just the way you tell them, and they will take a message or transfer it based on your preferences. And all of the messages/transfers are LOGGED. The big return on investment for this one is that around 30% of all people who get an answering machine NEVER leave a voicemail! So, if you're team's direct phone # is going to a voicemail, you are losing out on about 30% of all leads! (tell them Sean Goerss sent you and you'll get a setup fee discount)

3. www.LastPass.com (will open in a new tab) - we mentioned this in the webinar, but it's important to note the power for TEAMS. If you upgrade to the $12/year (yes, per year) version, then you can share passwords with team members, and if you ever update or they ever need to update a password/login, the changes will be automatically shared between you - no need to type an email to let someone know you changed the password. Also, it's really easy to UN-share passwords with anyone who leaves your team. And it's also easy to share the login, but HIDE the password from them - they'll be able to login, but they'll never see your password! Cool, time saving stuff, for anyone who needs to hire others!
