Janet,
thanks for posting your question in the forum. I believe I e-mailed you this answer some time ago, but I wanted to share it with our members…
Unfortunately when you install Beson's LetterWriter software, the program does not create e-mail subject lines. This is not something you did wrong, it is a matter of Dave Beson's software being created in one format and trying to make it universal to all CRM applications.
You will need to open each of the form letters you wish to use as e-mail campaigns and perform a "Save-as" for each letter and give it a new name and subject line for saving as a form email. While you are doing this I would recommend reformatting the letters for e-mail by removing the address block and date BEFORE you perform the "Save-as." This will create two sets of Beson letters, the originals to be sent as form letters and a second set to be sent as form e-mails.
After you revise and re-save the letters as form letters with your new Subject lines, you will need to create a new action plan by copying the original Beson plan for that topic and giving it a new name, like: 7 Year Follow-up E-mails. Then go through each activity and change the letters to your new form e-mail versions.
I know this sounds like a lot of work, but it flies once you get "in the zone." And it sure beats writing your own letters!
Jim
