Okay.  As I have mentioned, Accusync can be a fickle friend/foe…  If you have paid for an annual tech support contract with Emphasys, I'd recommend cashing in on it now.  They can usually help you navigate through these issues better than I can.  But, if you haven't made that investment, you could try resetting Accusync by cancelling all check-outs and setting up a new checkout for the remote machine.  This is probably the best approach as performing a backup on a new machine creates the exact settings of the old machine and some of the old folders may not exist.

Thank you. This worked well.  I tried to make it too difficult.  I do have a follow up question though,   Why I now get an error message when attempting to resync.  It says error, could not complete because the zip file did not complete?  My goal is to have both the master and remote with the same info.  What now?

Are you still planning on using Accusync or are you trying to setup a "real-time" scenario on a network?  Remember, by doing a restore on your new machine, this will restore the old settings but may require resetting Intellisync.

I plan to use continue using accusync and manually move the storage between machines.  I just tried to sync and the error message  in the  "Zip file creation window" showed the message saying 'error occurred ERROR #15' , could not create output file.

Any suggestion? start over? Remove AO and Reinstall?

As long as you are running XP you can reinstall from your original software disc.  If you are running Vista or Windows 7, I'd recommend that you purchase the upgrade to version 10.0, but you can try installing your current version by following the instructions for installation on Windows 7 on AOexperts.com…

If you are installing on XP, just insert your AgentOffice (AO) software CD and begin the installation process.  You will need the installation code on the back of the CD case.  I am assuming you have a backup of AgentOffice somewhere so after you install the software (you do not need to re-register or unlock it) you can simply use the restore utility built into the software.  Here are the steps:

1. Copy your AO backup from whatever medium you used (CD or memory Stick) to the desktop of your computer

2. Install AO from your original software CD using the serial number and installation code that is printed on the CD case.  DO NOT RE-REGISTER OR UNLOCK THE SOFTWARE AFTER IT IS INSTALLED.

3. After you successfully install AO, DO NOT OPEN THE PROGRAM.  Click on the Windows Start button go to All Programs, find the AgentOffice folder and click to open the AgentOffice tools.  Click on the Backup/Restore utility.

4. From the AO backup/restore window, click on the restore tab at the top.

5. Click on the Browse button to locate your backup file that you copied to your desktop (in step 1 above).

6. Click on the Restore button to begin the restoration process.  You will recieve a confirmation of a successful backup when it is finished.

7. Close the AgentOffice Backup/Restore window and launch AgentOffice.  All your passwords, data and settings should be restored exactly as they were on the day of your backup!

Ok, now that our laptop's operating system is  reinstalled, what  do I do to get AO back up and running?  I checked in the remote AO to the master and made a backup of the master.  What do I do now, Just put the Install disc in the drive and Install the program?  Is there an unlock code?  If so can I find it in my master?  I need some step by step help because the original installation was in 2006 and I don't remember how to set up the remote.
