Frankly, you could do dual data entry if we are just talking about basic contact information.  If you want to wait until a number of contacts have been added, say weekly, you could export a group and import them into AgentOffice.  You just don't want to go through all the hassle of mapping fields for an import for one or two contacts at a time.

Jim, I had the same feelings about it after looking at the website. I think my teammates want to make it easy on the Referral agent in Canada because he sends us so much business and he is using it. I am thinking about using  Agent Office and let them try the Wise agent. Do you think it would be difficult to copy contacts out of Wise Agent into Office Agent?I know that sounds convoluted but I feel I might be able to wean them into Agent Office and it would be good to be ready to go when they see the advantage of Agent Office and with the training I am receiving from you it would make our system even more productive.

I believe Wise Agent is one of several programs that has been distributed by Title Companies in the past.  I'm not sure if that is still the case.  To be candid, I'm not that familiar with the program so I checked out the website as I think you did too.  Looks like a classic web-based application which gives me two causes for concern: the first is the on-going monthly expenses, but the second, and more important, is the control of the data.  When you use a web-based application it is essentially "renting" a program, but you are storing data in their proprietary database.  With most web-based programs like Wise Agent and Top Producer, they store the data in a format that makes exporting (in the event you want to switch to another program) VERY challenging, if not impossible.  You can typically get your mailing list out, but all activity history, scheduled activities, listings, sales, etc. will be lost.

When I add up the on-going fees, loss of control of my data AND the almost "DOS-Like" performance of most web based CRMs, I choose not to use them.  Just so you know, I think Top Producer would be a better way to go than Wise Agent because of their significant user base and financial resources, but that being said, I would still rather use a PC based application for my own business.

Did your team members get a chance to check out the demo videos of AgentOffice on the site?

Jim, I am having a tug of war with my other teammates about a CRM. I want to use Agent Office but they are being swayed by our referral agent in Canada to use Wise Agent. I've briefly looked at it and it appears to be a cloud program with monthly charges. Any comments on Wise Agent( I know you prefer Agent Office and I am sure for a good reason).
