Save Time by Changing Trusted Sites Settings in Internet Explorer
The following question was recently posted in our Discussion Forum:
What is the difference in a site address that uses http:// , versus a site address that starts with https:// ?
When I try to add a site as "Trusted" (using Interet Options tab) and it does not contain the "s", a pop up box says: I need an "s" in the address.
At your own risk, there is an easy way to change this setting in Internet Explorer, so you don't get that annoying pop up window. Again, caution - ONLY do this if you know that you'll only be adding sites to your Trusted Sites that you REALLY know are VERY safe.

In Internet Explorer, click on Tools > Internet Options > click on the Security tab > click on Trusted Sites > Sites > then UN-check "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone".
Jim Casey also referenced a good article on understanding the "Secure" designation. You can find it here, http://www.biztechmagazine.com/article.asp?item_id=277 -- you will need to register for free with that site to view that article.
